2004-07-22 - 8:58 p.m. The military has tried a lot of ways to attract new recruits, but this is a first: The July 26 edition of the New Yorker reports that all the service branches are offering free face-lifts, breast enlargements, liposuction and nose jobs to soldiers and their families in exchange for a four-year hitch. Aside from filling the ranks, the program gives military doctors a chance to hone their plastic surgery skills, the Pentagon said. �
