2004-03-06 - 8:24 p.m. Although President Bush keeps insisting the economy is reviving, thanks to those tax cuts that put -- what? -- $300 in your pocket, employment statistics don't bear him out. The latest economic snapshot, released Friday, showed that America's unemployment rate remains stuck at 5.6 percent while the economy added a paltry 21,000 positions. This falls far short of the 125,000 new jobs that some economists were expecting to see. Meanwhile, an estimated 392,000 Americans left the work force in February and thousands more have given up looking for work altogether, Labor Department statistics show. �
