The latest economic snapshot, released Friday, showed that America's unemployment rate remains stuck at 5.6 percent while the economy added a paltry 21,000 positions. This falls far short of the 125,000 new jobs that some economists were expecting to see. Meanwhile, an estimated 392,000 Americans left the work force in February and thousands more have given up looking for work altogether, Labor Department statistics show. � |
