2003-11-01 - 7:05 p.m. The Spanish health ministry has withdrawn an AIDS awareness campaign following complaints over its slogan "Practice Oral Sex". The ministry hoped the ad, which in small letters added "talk with your partner about using condoms", would encourage young people to think about the consequences of unprotected sex. But the ministry was forced to put a stop to the posters due to its ambiguous title. "The slogan appears to be advocating a particular sexual practice and not the hoped for dialogue," one health ministry official said. Ministry advertisers have now had to return to the drawing board to find another more suitable slogan. |
